Mats Stading

Adjungerad professor vid Chalmers, Industri- och materialvetenskap, Konstruktionsmaterial

Mats Stading forskar om bioplaster och andra biomaterial i gruppen för Polymera material och kompositer. Som adjungerad professor har han också ett ben på RISE Research Institutes of Sweden där han leder sektionen Produktdesign och perception. Den gemensamma nämnaren är biopolymerer, såsom stärkelse och cerealieproteiner, vilka används i både material, mat och förpackningar. Mats Stading fokuserar sin forskning mot reologiska egenskaper, alltså hur materialen smälter och flyter, och hur detta styrs av strukturen. Han är ordförande för det Europeiska Reologisällskapet och driver flera internationella projekt.
