Rikard Söderberg
Dr Rikard Söderberg är professor i produkt-och produktionsutveckling. Han disputerade vid Chalmers 1995. Efter några år inom IT-och konsultbranschen gick han tillbaka till Chalmers för att bygga upp sin forskargrupp inom Geometrisäkring & Robust Konstruktion. Rikard var fram till Chalmers omorganisation 2017 prefekt för Institutionen för produkt-och produktionsutveckling. Han är föreståndare för Wingquist Laboratory.
Rikard har varit vetenskaplig rådgivare för Fraunhofer Chalmers Centre för industriell matematik sedan starten 2001 ochär sedan några år tillbaka dess styrelseordförande. Han är Fellow i The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Fellow i The International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) och ledamot av Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien (IVA).
Hans egen forskning fokuserar på att minimera effekten av geometrisk variation och inkluderar industridesign, visualisering, robust konstruktion, statistisk variationssimulering, optimering, montering modellering och analys, mätberedning och analys av mätdata. Han har ett nära samarbete med fordons-och flygindustrin.
Rikard har ca 300 peer review granskade vetenskapliga publikationer och ett antal av hans vetenskapliga resultat har överförts till kommersiella programvaror och arbetssätt, vilka idag används i daglig drift av ett stort antal ingenjörer i internationella företag.
